Arts First Oakland runs on all volunteer energy - we're grateful for the many kind and talented souls who help us! Do you have time, skills, and hands to lend to making Arts First a success? Do you like working with others in your community to develop something new? Below are just a few of the things we're working on, and you can help - if you'd like to sign up as an Arts First volunteer, please call or email the office if you can help with publicity, production, mailings, or general office work. We'll find a way to plug you in!

SPECIFIC PROJECTS

Production: Help welcome for all events, including our Circlesinging Workshops (Third Thursdays, April - December) and "Share the Music" (November 7). Help with ushering, box office, and/or hospitality at our events - join the fun and get in free!

ONGOING NEEDS

PR & Outreach: We're developing a friendly group of folks to work together, helping with mailing postcards and press materials in advance - munchies and music provided!

HTML Whiz: Now that our website is up and running, we need that special person who can help out with occasional updates. Telecommute to work with our Tech Team in Massachusetts and Canada - isn't the Internet grand?

FileMaker & the Elves: Our mailing list is growing! If you have a few hours a month to help with the simple but essential task of keeping our database and email list current, we have a congenial office (and maybe even munchies). Some data-entry experience preferable, but we'll train as well.

Graphic Designers & Wordsmiths: Help us make gorgeous and pithy flyers, posters, event programs and other PR materials. Better yet, join our PR Committee, forming now!

Friends Out On The Town: Do you make the rounds of places with windows on the world? Please consider being one of our flyer brigade! We need a reliable network of people to help spread our above-mentioned gorgeous and pithy flyers and posters. Let us know how many you can put up, and where, and soon we'll have Oakland covered.
